How to care for your Footwear
Please follow these simple guidelines to help prolong the life of your boots:
1. Always clean your boots after use. Gently remove dirt with a soft brush or damp sponge.
DO NOT WET UNDER TAP OR HOSE PIPE.
Tip
a. Make sure you clean all seams and welts.
b. Never use household cleaning products
2. If wet after use allow to dry naturally and do not expose to heat. Artificial or excess heat will cause the leather to over dry and crack.
Tip
Newspaper rolled up and tucked into the boots is helpful for drying them out.
3. Always use a boot jack to remove your boots.
4. The use of boot trees in Tall boots will help to maintain the shape of the boots.
5. Your boots will need to be treated regularly with a leather protector and conditioner.
Tip
Signs of your boots requiring some care will be colour fading in the leather and small cracks appearing. Pay particular attention
to creases in the boots for example across the toe and around the ankle. These points have more stresses on them due to your
feet moving.
